Miss Global International 2011 is Yansy Vega

Miss Puerto Rico, Yansy Vega won  the title for the Miss Global International 2011, last Saturday night at the competition held at the Grand Palladium  Hotel, in Hanover Jamaica

Twenty four (24) beautiful young ladies from across the globe, vied the for the title, but 22 year Vega, who is a  model/fashion designer  took the title and walked away with a trophy, US$1,000, a five-day/four-night stay at a Riu hotel, a contract with renowned photographer Brian Rosen. She also won sectional awards for Most Aware and Best Costume.

First runner up went to Miss Bosnia Semira Hadzimehmedagic, while second runner up was Miss Cape Verde Yasmin Lima.

Miss Jamaica Kimberly Sherlock was among the top, along with  Miss Greece Anastasia Mikhailides

Other sectional winners were Miss Bahamas Raquel Oliver won the talent section, and was placed 6th in the competiton.  While Miss Australia Rochelle Emanuel Smith voted the Most Congenial.  Miss Czech Republic won Best Smile and Best Figure went to Miss Bosnia

Other Caribbean representatives were, US Virgin Islands, Cuba, Haiti  St Maarten and Trinidad and Tobago

The show was very exciting with an opening number from the dancers from Grand Palladium Hotel and hosted by Jackie Norman
