Jamaican singer, 66 years old Denroy Morgan was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in New York, after cops spotted him leaving a house in Bronx carrying a package which contains 25 pound of ganja.
Detectives said Morgan was not part of a surveillance, as they were working on an unrelated case in Soundview when they saw Morgan walking out of a building around 4p.m. carrying what appeared to be a brick of marijuana in shrink-wrap packaging.
He pulled over by cops after running a stop light, and then police noticed odor coming from the car, which proved to be marijuana
Morgan confessed to police that he had a truckload of ganja, where police found two large bags filled with 25 pounds .
Detectives also went to Bronx house on Taylor Avenue across the street from the Blessed Sacrament School, they saw a second man, Wayne Swavy, coming out with a large package and getting into a car, he was also arrested, after 16 pounds of ganja was found in his car
Later defectives obtained a search warrant to search the house where they seized another 310-pound marijuana ,bringing to the total 351-pound seizure with a street value of $140,000 to $351,000

Morgan was born in Clarendon Jamaica, and migrated to New York, he has 30 children, including five who in 1994 formed the reggae band Morgan Heritage.
Morgan is known for song such as "I'll Do Anything For You", which No. 40 on the Billboard pop charts and he later on signed to RCA records.
