The Fourth Annual Miss and Junior Miss Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Pageant were recently held at Miller Grove High School in Lithonia, GA. The pageant was organized by the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleaders Association (ACCBA)
The winners of the different categories of the pageant includes twenty-year old Nadia Barr, who was crowned Miss Atlanta Caribbean Carnival, and she also won Miss Congeniality, People's Choice, Cultural/Historical Presentation, Talent and Evening wear.
14 year old Serena Turnquest took home the title of Miss Junior Miss Atlanta Caribbean Carnival., both representing the island of the Bahamas. Serena also won the People's Choice, Miss Entrepreneur, Evening wear and Cultural/Historical Presentation wear.
While Five-year old Priya Mungroo, from the island of Trinidad, walked away with the title of Princess. Other countries represented in the pageant included, Antigua and Barbuda, Guyana, Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The reigning queens will be representing the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival in events in Atlanta and will make an appearance at the 23rd Annual Atlanta Caribbean Carnival, to be held May 28
