Kimberly Sherlock is the new Miss Global Jamaica 2011

On Saturday night 18 finalists vied for the Miss Global Jamaica, held at the Grand Palladium Resort and Spa, to represent Jamaica at Miss Global Jamaica 2011 competition.  Walking away with the coveted crown was former Miss Universe contestant, Kimberly Sherlock.

First runner-up was awarded to Christol Wilson, Miss Knutsford Express, while Sasha Haase, Miss Grand Palladium, was second runner.

The talent section was held the Friday night prior to the event, and Antonette Jones, Miss SoftSheen-Carson, Salema Wyatt, Miss Caliente Beach Bar and Grill and Shanae King, Miss Seawind Resort,  were winners of this segment of the competition. They  were then given a chance to showcase their pieces. Both Jones and Wyatt chose to express themselves in dance, while King did a monologue entitled Phenomenal Woman by Maya Angelo.

For the Sectional prizes, Best Figure went to Narakay Powell , Best Talent, was won by Salema Wyatt, Kimberly Sherlock ,walked away with Most Aware and Katherine Rose received the award for Most Philanthropic.

The top-five girls were selected and interviewed to reveal to the judges, and after much deliberation, Kimberly Sherlock, Miss organocoffee.com, won  the title of Miss Global Jamaica  cash valued at $50,000, a personalised website valued at more than US $1,000, three nights all-inclusive at a hotel in North Carolina, a wardrobe valued at over US$5,000, a weekend for two at the Grand Palladium Hotels and Resorts, dinner for two at Carlos Café and a trip to Outameni Experience.
