A full-length non-fiction book "Jamaica's First President, Dudus 1992-2010, His Rise, His Reign, His Demise" about the rise and fall of Michael Christopher 'Dudus' Coke, is set to be release on
May 24. The novel is written by K.C. Samuels, and published by Pageturner Publishing House,
The book which is 306 pages in length chronicles the life of Dudus, in addition to the epidemic-like level of lawlessness in Jamaica since its independence in 1962. Also on 'the mother of all garrisons' - Western Kingston's Tivoli Gardens, and its cast of notorious characters; all of which is said to have contributed and paved the way to Dudus' presidency.
On May 24, 2010, there was an uproar in Tivoli Gardens, for the capture of "Dudus" which left at least 74 Jamaicans dead . There was a one-month manhunt, which later led to the arrest of and extradition of Coke's to the US to answer drug trafficking charges.
