Dancehall Producer Turn Artiste ‘Onton’ Gains Attention With ‘Money Tree’

They say music is one of those art forms that consumes you once there is a genuine love for it, and that seemingly appears to be the case with Dancehall producer Onton known for contributing some of the biggest hits locally.

The Starkutt Records/Versatile Ent. Producer who has worked with the likes of Demarco and Elephant Man among others has decided to expand his repertoire taking on the artiste role with the release of his first official single "Money Tree".

The single now in rotation on the FM airwaves has picked up considerable traction also on the party circuit, gaining him attention from several industry heavyweights across the Caribbean, Europe and Asia.

According to Onton, "as an accomplished producer you learn the art of making good music, and also understanding what works and what people like to hear, so for me making the transition was not very difficult".

The dancehall workaholic continued, "I am very pleased with the response from the masses, people know me as a producer but for this Summer aside from releasing a few more singles I will be concentrating on the promotional aspect of my career."

Onton, currently in dialog with a number of production companies is expected to shoot an accompanying video in the weeks ahead. "the added visuals will definitely raise the profile of the single." - He added.

Meanwhile, the artiste recently lend his vocals to an upcoming collaborative effort with dancehall sensation Konshens.
