Rihanna honoured for her fight against leukemia.

Rihanna looking extremely elegant look arrived at the DKMS fifth annual Linked Against Leukaemia gala., held last night at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City

Rocking her now famous flaming red hair, Rihanna, dressed in a sweeping black gown was presented with an award in recognition of her commitment to the fight against leukemia.


“Anyone can be affected by leukemia,” said RiRi in a statement. “It is the number one disease children in the U.S. die of and we can change that. I encourage people to become bone marrow donors with DKMS. If we have more donors, we can save more lives.”

Other stars in attendance were Eva Mendes, David Bowie, and wife Iman, Fashion designer Vera Wang.  Guests at the charity gala were treated to a performance by Mary J Blige


All proceeds raised will go directly to registering life-saving bone marrow donors.
