Jamaican born new ESSENCE Magazine "Editor-in-Chief"

ESSENCE Magazine as a new  Editor-in-Chief, Jamaican born Constance C.R. White,who attended Meadowbrook High School. Constance is a veteran journalist, editor, author, and culture and style expert, who started her career  Ms magazine , where she was as assistant to co-founder Gloria Steinem

As a poineer in the fashion industry, she brings 20 years of experience , where is has worked with numeroud publications such as The New York Times, British Vogue, Women’s Wear Daily, Elle and and the international Herald Tribune. White also  served as Style Director, Brand Consultant and Spokesperson eBay. She has also appeared as a fashion expert on a number of on popular TV shows including Oprah and Project Runway.

Michelle Ebanks President of ESSENCE gave high praise to Constance, she stated "As a visionary and consummate communicator, Constance has established an unparalleled connection across multiple platforms. Constance is passionate about the needs of Black women and making sure that they have the tools to make their boldest dreams come true."
