Bounty Killer goes to Court on September 30

Dancehall DJ Rodney Pryce aka Bounty Killer will face the court on September 30 following being arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearm and assaulting a policeman almost two years ago, in September, 2007.

The Killer, who appeared in the Gun Court on Friday, along with former policeman Calis Bowen, who is charged jointly, had his bail extended and the new court date set. Allegations are that Pryce and Bowen, who was a member of Pryce's party, got into an altercation with a group of men along St Lucia Avenue, New Kingston after they blocked the road with their motor vehicles.

On arrival of the police the men were ordered to move their vehicles and one of them threw alcohol in the cops face. The policeman attempted to arrest the man but was attacked by other men in the group.

Allegations are that during the skirmish Bounty Killer pulled a gun and pointed it at the police. Bowen who was part of the dancehall DJ's entourage was accused of thumping the police in the face and chest. After investigations were conducted Bowen was later dismissed from the police force.
