Amy Winehouse Sings at a bar in St Lucia

Amy Winehouse surprised fellow guests at a bar on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia with a performance Wednesday night, reports the San Francisco Chronicle.

Winehouse has been staying on the island in December after a month-long stint in the hospital due to a bad reaction to her prescription medicine.

According to the New York Post, Winehouse gave the performance in honor of her new love interest, Josh Bowman.

“As soon as she finished playing she rushed over to Josh and was hugging and kissing him,” reported one guest. “Her voice was amazing. Everyone in the bar was amazed to hear her. She sang a few songs and looked to be really enjoying herself. . . . Josh was obviously impressed. They were all over each other once she had finished singing, although they quickly moved outside to the terrace.”

This is a good sign for the singer, who has developed early signs of emphysema.
