9-year-old Jermain Jackman, born to Guyanese parents recently won BBC's The Voice UK, landing a major record deal as his prize and becoming the first male winner of the show.

Jackman, whose mentor was Will.I.Am, beat Sally Barker, 54, Christina Marie, 20, and Jamie Johnson, 19, to win the third year of the talent show.

On the finale night he blew away the audience with Jennifer Hudson'sAnd I Am Telling You

Speaking to his protege, Will.I.Am said: 'You have a lot of work to do - and a lot of focusing to do. To make that claim - that you wanna be the first black Prime Minister - means a lot of people will giggle and dismiss you as being cute, but you can prove them wrong.'
