Third World lead singer William 'Bunny Rugs' Clarke has died at the age of 65. The singer who was
battling cancer, died last night in a hospital in Orlando, Florida.

His passing
comes a few months after he had to drop out of the band’s 40th anniversary tour
of Europe due to illness.
Clarke
was born in Mandeville,
where his career began in the mid-1960s. He was a member of Inner Circle and the duo Bunny & Ricky. In 1976 he replaced Milton
"Prilly" Hamilton in as the lead singer of Third World and
recorded the successful 96° in the Shade album, and he has been with the band
ever since.
On February 6
the Bunny Rugs’ would have been 66.
