Trinidadian
footballer Akeem Adams, who joined
Hungarian side Ferencvaros in
August, has died at the age of 22.
Adams
suffered a heart attack
on September 25 following afternoon training. Since then a trio of life-saving
operations were done his left leg was amputated to “alleviate circulatory
problems.
On December 28th
his condition worsen due to a brain hemorrhage, and he passed away this morning
while on life support in Budapest
The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association
(TTFA) confirmed Adams passing this
afternoon.
Adams started playing football at age 13and
played for the youth international football with the Trinidad and Tobago under-17 team. He also participated in the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup and
was part of the under-20 squad at 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Adams made his
international debut in March 2008 at age 16.
