In the Caribbean, ham is a traditional Christmas food. We searched for a great ham recipe that I am sure you will all enjoy.

Ingredients

·        1 (10-pound) fully-cooked smoked bone-in ham

·        11/4 cups packed dark brown sugar

·        1/3 cup pineapple juice

·        1 cup honey

·        1/3 large orange, juiced and zest

·        2 tbsp. Dijon mustard

·        1/4tsp ground cloves

·        1 Small jar of maraschino cherries (optional)

Stud ham with whole cloves

Method:

·        Preheat oven to 350F

·        Stud ham with whole cloves then place on a roasting pan.

·        In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, honey, orange juice, orange zest, Dijon mustard, and ground cloves. Over medium heat bring to a boil while stirring occasionally for 10 minutes

·        Bake ham in preheated oven uncovered for two hours.

·        Remove ham from oven, and brush with glaze. Place the pineapples onto the top of the ham, and secure with toothpicks. Place cherries into the centers of the rings of pineapples, and secure with toothpicks also.

·        Bake for an additional 30 to 45 minutes, brushing ham with glaze every 10 minutes.

·        Let the ham rest 15 to 20 minutes before slicing.
