The album which is more of a “Pop/ R&B’
mix, was produced by executive producer Jerry ‘Wonda’ Duplessis. Sex, Love & Reggae
goes largely for a breezy party vibe that feels
calculated for crossover success.
Gyptian’s
smooth tones suit this well, though, and although the roots reggae
sensibilities are dialled down, he still plumps for romance and respect in his
lyrics.
Sex, Love & Reggae features
collaborations with Bunji Garlin, Kees
from KES the Band, Melanie Fiona and
British singer Estelle and others.
