Bolt will run the 100-m race in Rome on June 6, this is the third year the sprinter will be appearing this event, which he won in 2011 at a time of 9.91 seconds. Last year “Lightning Bolt” ran 9.76 second in front of over 50,000 spectators.
In the weeks following his Rome race the champion sprinter will participate in similar events in Oslo and Paris, ahead of the world championships in Moscow in August.
The Rome event is the fifth outing in the current season of the Diamond League, an annual series of track and field meetings for top athletes.
