Sylvanna Charles was crowned Miss VirginGorda Easter Festival Queen 2013 at the Catholic Community Center in The Valley, Virgin Gorda last weekend.

Charles also walked away with the sectional awards for Best Introduction, Best Cultural Dress, Best Talent and Miss Poise. As the reigning queen Sylvanna received cash prize worth 3,000, along with the official crown and trophy, sash, scholarship, dinner for two at Bitter End, lunch and stay for two at Nail Bay

Mindy Paul was  first runner-up and also won the awards for Miss Popularity and Miss Photogenic. She took home a $1,500 cash prize, scholarship, dinner for two at Bitter End, bouquet of flowers, and an official trophy.

Emani Prince won Miss Congeniality and Best Swimwear while Gwenisha Wilkinson won Best Evening Wear and Miss Intellect. Both contestants received a $500 cash prize, scholarship, dinner for two at Bitter End and other prizes.

All the contestants competed in seven categories - Introduction (20 points), Culture Swimsuit (40 points), Culture Dress (50 points), Performing Talent (80 points), Evening Wear (60 points), Question and Answer (40 points) and Personal Interview (60 points).
