Jaielean Thomas of US Virgin Islands wins Miss Caribbean Maryland 2012

On Saturday at the Coppin State University in Baltimore , Jaielean Thomas was crown Miss Caribbean Maryland .   Jaielean a native of the  US Virgin Islands also won the sectional prizes for Miss Congeniality and Miss Photogenic.


Six delegates from across the Caribbean entered the contestant and first Runner up went to  Delleita Grimmond, from Guyana, second Runner up Sarah Singh from Trinidad and Tobago, who also the Miss Internet (People’s Choice) award.

 The other remaining delegates were Shannon Arthur from Trinidad & Tobago, Keisha Davis and  Shannice Wollcock , both from Jamaica.
The competition dubbed “Women of Change” also  celebrated the 50th Anniversaries of Independence for Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
Jaielean will be representing Maryland  in the Miss Caribbean US Pageant in October.
