Hennessy Musician Competition - Voting begins today

Hennessy International launched its worldwide competition Chase the Music. Own the Stage. in April to find the best emerging musical talents from around the globe. In just over a month, Facebook fans have submitted hundreds of video entries of their own musical performances ranging from hip hop to soul, all for a chance to take their music from online to onstage at this yearʼs Blues Passions festival 2012 where they will perform live in Hennessyʼs hometown of Cognac, France.

The submissions phase is now over, and itʼs up to you to choose your favourite entries out of the top ten to take to Cognac this summer. Today, Monday 14th May, the shortlisted entries chosen by Hennessy and Blues Passions will be posted on the Chase the Music. Own the Stage. Facebook tab, where you can add your  comments and ʻLikeʼ posts as part of the public voting stage. Your vote will help judges Maurice Hennessy, Blues Passions founder Michel Rolland, editor-in-chief of Clash Magazine Simon Harper and Rolling Stone  Indiaʼs editor Lalitha Suhasini decide who the final two winners for Chase the Music. You can help send your favourite performers to Blues Passions, a festival that has hosted performances by  musical legends including B.B. King, Gil Scott Heron and Ray Charles, and this yearʼs A-list line up includes Sting, Hugh Laurie, Imany and Selah Sue.
