Heavy D's death was caused "pulmonary embolism"

The official cause of death for rapper Heavy D was released today according to TMZ.com. The .A. County Coroner's Office stated that the rapper  died from a pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg vein thrombosis, which is caused by  a blockage of one or more arteries in the lungs.

The blockage is caused by bad circulation of the blood, which forms clots, which travel in from other parts of he body.

It is reported that Heavy D's  trip to Michael Jackson memorial concert may have been a contributing factor in his death, as he days before his death he was on a flight back from Europe, after performing at the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales.

His death is classified as ""natural" , according to the coroner's office. A final autopsy report is due within two weeks


Heavy D died  on November 9, 2011 at the age of 44-years-old, and weighed 344 pounds
