As an environmental advocate at heart, my role as Miss Earth Jamaica 2011 will enable me to work closely with persons across the globe, who share my passion and appreciation for the environment and the protection of our Mother Earth; as I believe that our planets’ future relies heavily on a well educated public to be responsible stewards of the very environment that sustains us.
WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON THE PLATFORM OF “TAKING RESPONSIBILITY” IN REGARDS TO THE ENVIRONMENT?
Environmental responsibility is not confined to any one faction but should be taught from the primary school level through to the major industrial players who are the chief contributors to the increase in land, sea and air pollution which affect our planet.
Ultimately, the collective wisdom of our people, gained through education, will be the most compelling and most successful strategy for environmental management.
