Theodore Elyett’s Miss Teen Bahamas 2011 is Yamease Swain

The 6^th Annual Theodore Elyett’s Miss Teen Bahamas Beauty Pageant was held Sunday August 21^st at the Wyndham Nassau Resort Rainforest Theatre.  18 year old Yamease Swain, walked away with the coveted title, and will competes in the Miss Teenager Universe as a Caribbean delegate and the Miss Teen World Pageant uner the title of Miss Teen Bahamas


Yamease, who is also Miss Junior Grand Bahama National 2011 won from a field of 13 contestants, and other sectional titles for Best Evening Gown Performance, Best Designer Evening Gown, Best Body  and Spokesmodel. She , also was placed 1st in Judges’ Interview, and  2nd Runner-up in the “Queen of the Walk,” catwalk competition.

The event themed “Pretty Girl Rock: Beauty.Intelligence.Grace.” was hosted by veteran broadcaster Jerome Sawyer and NB 12 Anchor Paige Ferguson.

The top were narrowed down by after been judged by their swimwear and evening wear  included  Shonte Cargill, Vanshanae Bowe, Niaya Moss, Anaia Saunders, Yamease Swain, Zarria Moxey, Danielle Knowles, Robbyn Thompson, Laurielle Colebrooke and Shaquille Sands.

After the Top 5 Finalists were chosen based on questions  relating to current affairs , the chosen five were Niaya Moss, Shaquille Sands, Robbyn Thompson, Yamease Swain and Shonte Cargill.

In the end Yamease Swain won the title, while 1^st Runner-up  went Shaquille Sands, 2^nd Runner-up Niaya Moss, 3^rd Runner-up Robbyn Thompson and  4^th Runner-up Shonte Cargill
