Miss Guyana World 2011, is Arti Cameron

A new Miss Guyana World 2011, was crowned last night, July 31, at the National Cultural Centre, in Guyana, and the new queen is Arti Cameron , who will represent her country in the Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 6.

First runner up went to Soyini Fraser while Celeste Dolphin was the second runner-up. The fourth position went to Utieka John.  Other delegates were , Ruquayyah Boyer and Siestra Allen.

 Six delegates participated in the Miss Guyana World pageant, and 22 year old Arti, a crowd favourite also won othr sectional title for Miss Photogenic, Body Beautiful and Best Gown.


With a platform "Women’s empowerment and access to equal opportunities as a response to violence against women", Arti Cameron is currently pursuing a career in medicine, and has recently completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Sciences.
