Super Model Nicole Sky Grey: All Dolled Up for project “Lollipop”

Sexy and sassy best describes the character played by Nicole “Sky” Grey in her debut musical project entitled “Lollipop”. Grey shredded her glamorous screen image to take on the playful character of a Barbie doll in a fantasy world, filled with candies, bright colours and S & M connotations.

Certainly the music video played up to the fantasy fetishes of her male fans. But for Grey, it was really about fulfilling her own fantasy. Music has been her life-long passion. From high school she dreamt of becoming a recording artist. Yet her opportunity for fame and fortune came in the form of the national Pulse Model Search competition, a reality TV show where she became one of five finalists. Grey stretched this window of fame into a successful international modelling career.

To-date, Grey has been featured on several international magazine covers including SHE and Essence magazine. Grey has also held the position of a M.A.C. campaign girl. Whilst ripping runways from New York to Paris, Grey landed her first acting debut in “Better Mus Com”, produced by Storm Saulter and Paul Bucknor, who is known for co-producing Oscar winning, “The Full Monty”. “Better Mus Com” had a strong cast which included Roger Guenveur Smith, known for co-staring alongside Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington in Ridley Scott's Vietnam War era epic, “American Gangster” also noted for key roles he played in Spike Lee’s “Do The Right Things” and “Malcolm X”. Before the release of “Better Mus Com” Grey landed yet another leading role in a New York based film called “Restless City”.  If two high-profile careers weren’t enough, the young celebrity saw fit to add recording artist to her portfolio.

Although Grey enjoys modelling and acting, nothing truly appeals to her more than her own project. For Grey, the “Lollipop” project was a sense of coming into her own. It was her first opportunity to take full creative control, from concept development to the final product. She recently performed in front of thousands at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Jamaica. For which her performance was well received. For Grey the experience was nothing less than exhilarating.
