Nicki Minaj "Rise to Fame - E! Special

On E! one hour special "Nicki Minaj", where the Trinidadian Rapper talked about her "rise to fame". Born Onika Tanya Maraj , Nicki moved Trinidad to New York with her family, where she studied theater at LaGuardia High School of Music and Art.

Paving her way to stardom wasn't an easy one, as she family struggled to make ends meet. She was discovered via  "Myspace" and was signed to Young Money by Lil Wayne.

You can say Nicki's life is based on a rags to riches story,' working as Red Lobster to become the "Queen of Hip-Hop
