The Miss Caribbean Culture 2011 competition was held Monday night at the Nevis Cultural Complex, where Miss St. Lucia, Oneka McKoy,walked away with the title, from a field of 10 Caribbean beauties.
The competition in its 6 year was held under the theme “Bridging the Gap-One Caribbean-One People”.
The swimsuit competition was held in St. Kitts on Sunday night, while tehe remaining leg of the competion held in Nevis. First Runner-up went to Miss Anguilla,Shellya Rogers, who also won Best Talent and Best Interview. Second runner-up was Miss St. Kitts-Abigail Liburd , who capped the title for Best Evening Wear. While Miss Barbados Dannyele Teneel Leslie was placed third.
Other sectional winner was Dominica's Jacintha Fagan wiining the Miss Photogenic Appearance award
During the swimsuit compeition Miss St. Lucia, Oneka McKoy won for Best One Piece and Two Piece Swimsuit and Best Ambassadorial Wear.
Other contestants who participated in the pageant were Verna Grante of Nevis, Roneisha James of Jamaica ,Sheridan Haynes of St. Vincent, Robekah Lindsey of Montserrat and Kishwana Jefford of Guyana.
