EXCITEMENT BUILDS AROUND THE MISS TEEN WORLD (JAMAICA) PAGEANT

With just one (1) month away from the Grand Coronation show, there is a definite buzz surrounding this very prestigious event. Corporate Jamaica has also caught the pageant fever as several organizations have signed on as sponsors. The pageant is now proudly endorsed by the Jamaica Tourist Board and (to date) our Title Sponsors are:

The contestants will make their public debut on Friday 17th June, 2011 at a fund-raising / charity event hosted by the pageant company themed: B.Y.O.B (Be Your Own Beautiful) - The Launch Party; to be held at the Wyndham Hotel (New Kingston). This event is carded to start at 7:00pm with the inaugural Sashing Ceremony and end with the after-party.

Tickets for B.Y.O.B. are $1200 advance, $1500 at the door and can be purchased from Gymkhana Fitness Center (Wyndham), contestants and committee members. Part proceeds go to the Jamaica Red Cross (HIV and Youth Program); individuals and organizations are invited to contribute towards this worthy cause.

The Grand Coronation show, themed “The Jewels of Jamaica” will take place on Saturday 9th July, 2011 at the Grand Palladium / Lady Hamilton Resort and Spa, in Lucea, Hanover where the eighteen (18) beautiful young ladies will vie for the title of Miss Teen World (Jamaica) 2011. The show will be hosted by well-known media personalities Adrian Atkinson and Kerrie-Ann “Kiki” Lewis. Thereafter, the winner will go on to represent Jamaica at the Miss Teen World Pageant, which will be held from August 1-6, 2011 at the Hilton Post Oak, Houston, Texas, USA. Making a very special appearance at the Grand Coronation will be the International Director and Creator of Miss Teen World®- Mr. Gaspar Cruz and coming all the way from Athens, Greece, the reigning Miss Teen World- Anastasia Sidiropoulou, who will be crowning our very first local queen.

Tickets for the Grand Coronation are priced as follows: $1000 (High School students), $1500 (College / University students) and $2500 (General Admission). The host hotel, The Grand Palladium, is offering special reduced rates for individuals wishing to stay at the resort for the weekend of July, 9th, 2011:

• $110 USD / night (per person *Double Occupancy*)
• $165 USD / night (Single Occupancy)
• *each additional person in room- $110 USD / night
• Children under the age of 12 are FREE
