THE VALLEY, Anguilla – IT was tit for tat last night (Aug. 5) between two contestants at the Miss Anguilla Pageant held at Landsome Bowl, as Shellya Rogers and Deidra Bell took all of the segments but Rogers outshone Bell by taking the crown.
Rogers also took the awards for Best Introductory Speech, Best Talent, Best Interview and Miss Popularity while Bell, who was named First Runner-up, was awarded the prizes for Miss Photogenic, Best Swimsuit, Best Costume and Best Evening Wear.
The other contestants were Vanessa Edwards and Cindy Isaacs.
Along with a trophy and crown, Rogers won herself EC$8 000, a Dell Notebook Computer, LIME phone package, gift bags and a salon gift certificate, while the First Runner-up received EC$4 000, a Dell Notebook Computer, a Trophy and also a LIME package.
The Anguilla Carnival continues today with the Parade of Troupes through the streets of The Valley.
