Fabulous end for Caribbean Fashion Week (CFW) 2010

< Atlanta: Caribbean Fashion Week (CFW) 2010, the regions premier fashion event proved to be another spectacular affair for the thousands of fashionistas, world famous designers and international models Jaunel McKenzie,


Nadine Willis and Ashley Richardson who converged at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston, Jamaica. Exemplifying that music and fashion go hand in hand, CFW featured eclectic performances by R&B crooner Johnny Gill, Una Morgan and Gramps Morgan who set the night to music.


Gramps was a force to be reckoned with, delivering a jaw dropping rendition of his classic hit "23 Psalms." He then charmed the crowd with "Wash The Tears Away" and had the ladies blushing with his current hit "Come Back To Bed" from his debut album "2 Sides of My Heart Vol 1.


“It was truly an amazing performance especially when I sang Come Back To Bed. It was a pleasure to be a part of Caribbean Fashion week and I must say special thanks to Kingsley Cooper for including me on the show this year. It was a memorable experience for me and I must say there are definitely perks to being backstage at a fashion show!" he remarked.

Gramps, who is gearing up for upcoming European and US tours next month is having a whirlwind year having won numerous awards including the "Album of the Year" award at the Reggae Music Appreciation Awards in Toronto.

"This is a total of 5 awards that I have won this season including Album of the year (EME), Album of the year (RMAA), Best New Entertainer, Best Song (Wash The Tears) and Best Cross Over (Therapy)" an elated Gramps disclosed.

For the summer he is booked for a number of gigs includes Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay, the One Love Reggae Festival in Negril, Jamaica and a special performance at the Narobi Kenya Benefit Concert in Kenya.

"We have some new projects that we are working on that we are very excited about. Our new charity called M.O.M. (Music Orchestrating Miracles) will be working it's first event in Kenya. We have partnered with Hands Across Kenya to help supply medicine and other medical equipment to children in Kenya. I have also become the face of CY Evolution Clothing and a partner in the company. I am looking forward to turning the production of a brand new Gramps Morgan clothing line by CY Evolution as well" he said.

He heads to Europe at the end of July for performances in Zurich, Switzerland; Poland; Bersenbruck, Germany; Oslo, Norway; Uppsala, Sweden; Schlossplatz, Germany; Amsterdam, Holland; Cantazaro and Lecce, Italy then kicks of a three week USA tour on August 17 that will make stops in Connecticut, Boston, Atlanta, Tampa, Orlando and Newark, New Jersey.
