Elephant man, asset seized by tax department

Elephant man’s who real name is O'Neil Bryan, is now in tax troublie with Inland Revenue Department, which has led to the seizing of his assets to settle million of dollars in unpaid taxes.


According to Meris Haughton, the director of communications at the tax department , the operation was conducted this morning with the enforcement team and the police travelling to several locations in search of assets belonging to Elephant Man.


 A red convertible Mercedes Benz vehicle belonging to Elephant Man was seized during the operation carried out by IRD's special enforcement team.

Meris Haughton explained that in cases where property is seized, delinquent taxpayers have 10 days to pay off their arrears or the confiscated asset would be auctioned. She said if the proceeds from the auction do not cover the debt, the taxpayer could face criminal or civil charges.
