A search is on for ladies with beauty and brains to compete in the 2010 Miss Trinidad and Tobago World Pageant.

The prestigious event is scheduled for early July in which a bevy of beauties will via for the title to determine who will represent Trinidad in the 2010 Miss World Pageant.

Ashanna Arthur is the reigning queen who was also said to have been the crowd’s favourite at last year’s pageant, while Chenelle Maloney was adjudged First Runner-up and Danielle Tardieu Moze took the Second Runner-up position.
In November, Miss T&T World will be representing Trinidad and Tobago in the 60th annual Miss World Pageant which was first held in 1951 and organised by Eric Morley. It was originally called The Festival Bikini Contest in honor of the recently introduced Swimwear of the day.

The franchise is now chaired by his widow Julia, who has successfully turned the annual spectacle into the most anticipated and most watched televised broadcast, with over two billion viewers in 180 countries and territories.

Over the years, T&T has produced multiple top 15 finalists, most recently Gabrielle Walcott in 2008, and won its only title in 1986 when Giselle Marie La Ronde represented that country.

The committee will also be seeking male contestants to represent Trinidad and Tobago for the first time ever in the 2011 Mr. World Pageant to be held in Korea.
