TRIBE IGNITE, Moka Explosion, Eclipze and I Love Mania Fetes, playing mas with Harts, Tribe, Legacy and Trini Revellers along with J’Ouvert Band Cocoa Devils, all proved to be great “Digicel” experiences for the thousands who revelled in the utter gay abandon that is the Trinidad and Tobago Carnival.

The events and bands all sponsored by Digicel were staples in the ultimate carnival weekend that kept the crowds hyped and created cherished moments from this year’s Festival.

The Digicel Brand Ambassadors were in full effect to mingle with audiences and do the special folkdances that many patrons have appreciated throughout the season.

The side shows in the Digicel Carnival also proved to be attention-grabbers as audiences clamoured to see the popular fire breather, stick fighters and East Indian and limbo dancers perform.

On Carnival Monday and Tuesday many were seen quenching their thirsts with the Digicel mugs, while they waved their bandanas and feted to the soca hits. A special treat was also in store for masqueraders on Tuesday, when Digicel placed five photographers in three of its sponsored mas bands to take photos of the merriment, which were immediately posted onto the Digicel facebook fan page.

Digicel’s Communications Manager Penny Gomez said of the 2010 Carnival period, “This has been a truly rewarding season for Digicel. It provided the company with countless opportunities to add value in tangible ways to the Carnival experiences of many. Digicel was able to meet its objectives to contribute to the developmental, legacy-building an entertainment landscapes of this the ‘greatest show on earth’. We look forward with excitement to 2011
