Actor/singer/songwriter, Peter Lloyd following a series of performances over the festive season is now preparing the ground work for the release of his second single entitled Perfect Body. The track produced by Lloyd with mixing and other creative credits going to Collin 'Bulby' York, rhythm twins 'Sly & Robbie' and Gitsie is the follow-up to his recent number one hit, Oh My Darling, now enjoying favourable airplay.
Lloyd. is also shooting the new season of the local hit mini series Royal Palm Estate
Lloyd, not much of a socialite, recently returned from his specially invited overseas assignment alongside agency-mate Sean Kingston. He often remarks that he shares the work ethic of a Bee as he's consistently in the studio working to attain that next big hit, while simultaneously fine-tuning his craft.
When asked about plans for the coming year the singer/songwriter outlined that there are several major projects on the roster, including completing additional tracks for his upcoming sophomore album, which is still untitled. He is also shooting the new season of the local hit mini series Royal Palm Estate, in which he plays a role.
The crooner, however, was very tight-lipped about a possible deal in the works for a major television undertaking. "I will let you know when the deal has been finalised," he stated.
In retrospect Peter Lloyd has had a splendid year from critically acclaimed performances to capacity audiences at Christopher's Jazz Club (Quad), Jazz In the Garden (Pegasus Hotel), Ewarton Jerk Festival (Ewarton) a plethora of overseas shows and undoubtedly a consistent headliner on the North Coast and a favourite among the tourist community.
With 2008 coming to a close, his hard work and perseverance came to an apex with the signing of a major international booking deal to INTOUCH Booking that sees him upgrading to the major league alongside industry heavyweights like Sean Kingston and R&B sensation Robin Thicke.
Locally, Lesley Hayles of Bass Line Entertainment Services is responsible for all his affairs and added that Lloyd will be performing at Anthony B's Trelawny Family Fun Day scheduled for this evening at the Trelawny Multipurpose Complex.
